Hi, I’m Sarah – I am a Registered Midwife, Real Birth Teacher, Trainer and Writer based in Devon. With over a decade of experience as a Midwife and Doula both in the UK and the USA, I have supported hundreds of women and families through the transformational process of childbirth and on into parenthood. I’m passionate about sharing knowledge and empowering women and their partners to make informed decisions about their care, and to help them feel positive and excited about their upcoming experience.
My experience has spanned a wide variety of maternity care settings from the home to the operating theatre, but what I have learnt along the way, is that knowledge really is key. Quality antenatal education is vital in helping families feel prepared and confident for their upcoming birth, and helping them to achieve a positive birth experience regardless of how or where their birth unfolds.
As a Real Birth Teacher, I’m delighted to share this amazing programme, informing mums-to-be and their birth partners just how incredible birth can be. As a teacher trainer, I also have the privilege of working with other birth professionals, re-educating them on the awesome capabilities of our bodies in birth.
