Our Armed Forces Covenant Pledge

The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that we collectively acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, as well as their families, should continually be treated fairly and with respect within the community, economy and society. This support is maintained by helping members and ex-members of the armed forces to have the same access to government and commercial services as any other citizen would.

The Employer Recognition Scheme commends employers who have provided exceptional support to the armed forces community by exceeding their covenant pledges.1

Businesses can demonstrate their support by signing the covenant and writing a range of written, public promises underlying how they will be ensuring that those in the armed forces community have access to and are treated fairly within their practice.2

The Real Birth Company provides support through education and family well-being and discounted services.

We signed the Armed Forces Covenant because we believe that it’s important to show the community that we support armed service personnel and that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation. We wanted to become more visible to the military so that they know that they, and/or their spouses, have continuity of care within our antenatal support.

Our pledge is that no member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage in the provision of our services compared to any other citizens, and that we recognise the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our country.

The Real Birth Company always ensures that our clients and teachers are treated fairly and equally across the board, no matter the background, and ensure that we have empathy for military personnel and their families due to personal experience.

We believe that it’s important for military personnel to have access to our antenatal services when it is needed for them, and to easily feel a sense of community and support, guaranteeing our trusted resources through the Armed Forces Covenant where it can be helpful for military personnel to find a service who are supportive of them.

We are continuing our support to armed service personnel and their families by sponsoring the Regimental Diary and by offering a 10% discount for face-to-face antenatal classes with our teachers at the Real Birth Workshop. You can also check to see if teachers in your area provide the military discount, too, by checking at our “Find a Teacher” page of our website. We also provide a 10% discount on military personnel wanting to teach antenatal classes at our studio by becoming teachers themselves if they have had medical experience within the military.

We are proud to support military personnel and their spouses. Our door is always open.
